چکیده
Abstract The present study aims at providing insights into shock wave interference patterns in gas flows when a mixture different than air is considered. High-energy non-equilibrium of and $$\hbox {CO}_2$$ CO 2 – {N}_2$$ N over double-wedge geometry are studied numerically. impact freestream temperature on the interaction investigated by simulating two sets conditions. To this purpose, SU2 solver has been extended to account for conservation chemical species as well multiple energies coupled Mutation++ library (Multicomponent Thermodynamic And Transport properties IONized gases C++) that provides all necessary thermochemical species. An analysis presented with respect existing taxonomy interactions. A comparison between calorically perfect ideal simulations confirms effects greatly influence patterns. When relaxation considered, type VI obtained -dominated flow, both temperatures 300 K 1000 K; air, V six-shock obtained, respectively. We conclude increase large pattern whereas flow does not change.

Inviscid and Viscous Interactions in Subsonic Corner Flows
A flap can be used as a high-lift device, in which a downward deflection results in a gain in lift at a given geometric angle of attack. To characterize the aerodynamic performance of a deflected surface in compressible flows, the present study examines a naturally developed turbulent boundary layer past the convex and concave corners. This investigation involves the analysis of mean and fluctu...
متن کاملThermochemical Nonequilibrium in Rapidly Expanding Flows of High-Temperature Air
• This paper describes a computational study of the thermal and chemical nonequilibrium occuring in a rapidly expanding flow of high-temperature air transported as a free jet from an orifice into lowdensity stationary air. Translational, rotational, vibrational and electron temperatures are treated separately, and in particular the vibrational temperatures are individually treated; a multi-vibr...

We prove that any steady solution to the Cω Euler equations on a Riemannian S3 must possess a periodic orbit bounding an embedded disc. One key ingredient is an extension of Fomenko’s work on the topology of integrable Hamiltonian systems to a degenerate case involving stratified integrals. The result on the Euler equations follows from this when combined with some contact-topological perspecti...

although there are studies on pragmatic assessment, to date, literature has been almost silent about native and non-native english raters’ criteria for the assessment of efl learners’ pragmatic performance. focusing on this topic, this study pursued four purposes. the first one was to find criteria for rating the speech acts of apology and refusal in l2 by native and non-native english teachers...

The aim of this paper is to develop a new two dimensional time accurate Euler solver for shock tube applications. The solver was developed to study the performance of a newly built short-duration hypersonic test facility at Universiti Tenaga Nasional “UNITEN” in Malaysia. The facility has been designed, built, and commissioned for different values of diaphragm pressure ratios in order to get wi...
